Two years ago we had a birth diagnosis of trisomy 21. Thatcher was officially born with down syndrome. We began to research a community that would bring us closer to all the education and experts that could help us navigate our new baby with DS. I stumbled upon HADSA. After sharing Thatcher diagnosis I had many mothers of children with DS reach out about this amazing organization called HADSA! We got invited to group gatherings and participated in many of the free events for family's! This was huge for my family to be apart of this amazing organization. They have been my support system in the most difficult questions. They have shared the most rewarding experience that is true to becoming a mother to a child with DS. I feel this place is a safe haven for family's new to the diagnosis and helping with everyday questions to what is expected. It's about family, community, and love of someone with an extra chromosome. Please find it in your heart to donate to help families to receive birth boxes with resources and testimony of families that are thriving with kids with DS. Our goal is $250. Any dollar amount helps.

Thanks lots of love Thatcher's Team!!!

Step up with us on September 28th for the Hawkeye Area Down Syndrome Association's Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk at the Cherry Hill Park in Cedar Rapids.

The day will be filled with family fun events including food, music, team pictures, and much more!

Families in the area blessed by Down Syndrome are encouraged to start their own fundraising page, while registering to walk for their favorite team. This can all be done through the registration process.

Prizes for the largest walk team and the team raising the most money will be awarded.

Funds raised will be used to support our mission as well as our grant/scholarship projects!

Thank you for your support and we hope to see you on September 28th!
