Hunter has been through a lot of obstacles though out his 12 years.  He was born with av canal defect, and had partial blood transfusion 12hrs after he was born due to his blood was so thick.  His open-heart surgery was done at 7mo old and ended up with blood clot in his leg prior to surgery which went to his big toe, and he eventually lost the padding of his big toe,  he then after surgery had  both his lugs clasping, which then he needed chest tubes, then his kidneys stopped working so he had to have partial kidney dialysis. He such a strong boy and a fighter.

Fast forward he has went through 4 knee surgery to help get his knock knees back in place. He was such a trouper through them.  He works hard at his therapies. He loves meeting people and going out anywhere we go. He is our Bouncy Tigger!!!

Step up with us on September 28th for the Hawkeye Area Down Syndrome Association's Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk at the Cherry Hill Park in Cedar Rapids.

The day will be filled with family fun events including food, music, team pictures, and much more!

Families in the area blessed by Down Syndrome are encouraged to start their own fundraising page, while registering to walk for their favorite team. This can all be done through the registration process.

Prizes for the largest walk team and the team raising the most money will be awarded.

Funds raised will be used to support our mission as well as our grant/scholarship projects!

Thank you for your support and we hope to see you on September 28th!
